Ariadna Krylova is a photographer, gallery director, curator of exhibition projects, an art historian, and an educator in the field of photography. She is also an art dealer and the director of the gallery of contemporary photography "White Rainbow" (www.white-rainbow.ru) in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Education: In 2021, she graduated from the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Film and Television, with a degree in "Folk Art Culture" (as a film and photography studio supervisor). She also studied photography under masters such as Georgy Pinkhasov (MAGNUM PHOTOS), Mikhail Burlatsky, Valery Plotnikov and others.
Since 2023, she has been a co-founder and director of the two "White Rainbow" galleries of contemporary photography in St. Petersburg. Her main focus is on promoting and supporting Russian contemporary photography. Ariadna regularly organises and curates exhibition projects and educational events, including lectures, workshops, film screenings, portfolio reviews, as well as online and offline meetings with prominent photographers both at the gallery's sites and at those of its partners.
As the director of a gallery dedicated to the sale of original works, Ariadna monitors and analyses the current state of the art market, researching and identifying new trends in photography. She is an expert in her field and is a speaker at international and Russian forums and at discussions focused on science and art.

ABOUT PHOTOGRAPHY
Ariadna's passion for photography began in early childhood and quickly became one of the important parts of her life, serving as a tool for exploring reality and as a means of interacting safely with the outside world. Presently, in her creative practice, she devotes her time to portraiture and documentary photography, as well as to various experiments in the darkroom. Since 2016, she has been actively employing analogue processes, using medium-format and 35mm film, as well as developing, printing and working with other experimental lab processes.
